Sugar at East Hotel’s Andrew Lue takes home the title for the 2017 Regional Finals for the USBG’s Most Imaginative Bartender Competition by Bombay Sapphire.

Today, some South Florida’s best bartenders in Miami got together for USBG’s Most Imaginative Bartender Competition Regional Final at Beaker & Grey.

Ten bartenders competed for the chance to head to London to compete in the finals.  Competitors were from some of the best bars in South Florida and also a finalist from the Carnival Pride.   In no particular order, Jessica Stafford (DOA), Andrew Lue (Sugar @ The East Hotel), Natalia Cardenas (Bar Collins @ The Loews Hotel), Yolanda Baez (The Broken Shaker), James MacInees (Copper 29), Natee Saelee (Bazaar Mar), Bryan Maldonado (Zucca), David Bouchard (Death or Glory), Daniel Love (Scarpetta),  Miroslav Kljajic (The Carnival Pride).

The competition invites bartenders to create  their version of an “imaginative” cocktail and Andrew Lue came out with the top scores from the judges.  Andrew will be joining the other regional finalists to compete in London for the top prize.  He created a stunning tea-inspired cocktail with a tropical flair.

Cocktail included Bombay Sapphire, Bombay Chai Blend, Coconut & Mango syrup, Dehydrated Lemon wheel, Naankhatai Tea Cookie foam, Pinch of ground pistachios, Edible flowers & applewood smoke.

Best of luck to Andrew Lue in the finals in London!  #Miami
