There is no hiding the fact that we love the Broken Shaker here at Spirited Miami. From great cocktails to amazing hospitality, they don’t skip a beat.
Elad & Gabe have been hard at work spreading Bar Lab‘s brand of cocktail culture throughout the world. Right now, Bar Lab is working on Broken Shaker Los Angeles while holding down the fort at Broken Shaker Miami & 27 Restaurant, Broken Shaker Chicago and of course their newest addition, The Anderson. The awards and accolades don’t stop coming through.
Most recently, Broken Shaker has been once again selected as one of the World’s 50 Best Bars for the third consecutive year. Now Wine Enthusiast has chimed in by nominating the duo for Mixologist of the Year. While the list is not only about mixologists (more about the overall spirits industry), it still highlights spirit professionals doing great things in the industry.
Wine Enthusiast writes:
“This Miami duo came onto the cocktail scene with Broken Shaker in 2012 and has since evolved into Bar Lab, a lifestyle/beverage consulting agency for the hospitality industry. The mixologists have received nods from James Beard Award as semifinalists in 2014 and 2015, rankings in the World’s 50 Best Bars, and from Tales of the Cocktail. They continue to operate the Broken Shaker in Chicago and Miami (an L.A. edition is coming soon) as well as 27 Restaurant in Miami.”
While we know that Bar Lab came before Broken Shaker, what matters is the nomination. A nod to their hard work and dedication to the craft. Looks like we owe “the Shaker” another visit this week.
The winners will be announced in the Wine Enthusiast’s special “Best of Year” issue, and they will be honored at a black-tie gala in Miami on Monday, January 30, 2017, for the first time in the event’s history at Nobu Eden Roc.
Congratulations to all the nominees!
