Spirited Miami’s best bets for St. Paddy’s Day 2017!

Who doesn’t love a drinking holiday?  And who does it better than the Irish!  We’re looking forward to wearing green, having a shot of Irish Whiskey and of course a perfectly poured pint of Guinness.

Here are our picks in no particular order:

John Martin’s, Coral Gables

So two Irish guys open a bar.  What happens next?  Delicious American fare, bar bites, cold Guinness and Irish Whiskey all day!  Martin Lynch and John Clarke grew up a mile away from each other in the parish of Killinkere in Ireland.  They both pursued careers in the hospitality industry in South Florida.  In 1989, they opened John Martin’s and well, the rest is history.  That is 28 years of Irish history in your backyard.

And if you think it’s your regular St. Paddy’s Day party, it’s not.  It starts at NOON!  Live music, great food and of course cocktails.  At noon they start with none other than Bob Ritchie the Bagpiper. Get there whenever, the party is going on all day and night.  We’ll start here for a Guinness and lunch!

Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co., Miami Beach

It’s no secret that Sweet Liberty is a great place to have cocktails at, but combine this with a Clarke’s pop-up for St. Paddy’s Day and it’s a game changer.  For those that don’t know, Clarke’s, it was your neighborhood pub on the beach.  It was also an industry favorite.  Clarke’s was owned and operated by Laura Cullen, who helped steer the ship when it came to cocktail culture in Miami, and for that, we thank you.  Top that with a live performance by Brendan O’Hara and you’re in for a hell of a St. Patrick’s Day adventure.  Expect Guinness and Jameson to be the star of the show along with some delicious cocktails.    The journey starts at 3pm…

The Playwright Irish Pub

An Irish Pub that treats everyday like St. Paddy’s.  Expect the celebration to be in full force here.  We come here to watch soccer games, Guinness is always cold, place is always friendly.  We’ll stop in for a shot of whiskey and a Guinness.
