We are looking forward to Tales of the Cocktail here at Spirited Miami and had our share of nominee writing last month. What a pleasure to see some of the incredible names that help shape Miami’s cocktail culture and beyond. Congratulations to all the finalists!
These nominees were chosen from more than 1000 submissions for the chance of being named the industry’s best bars, bartenders, writers and more.
From different categories ranging from Best American Bar Team to Best American Brand Ambassador these finalists sum up the best of the best in the cocktail industry.
Nominated for Best American Bar Team which highlights the team that works well together, is always consistent and is cool under pressure, none other than Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co.! No surprise here as they won our Bar of the Year for the 2016 Pineapple Awards. We wish them the best of luck.
The next Miami nominee was for the coveted American Bartender of the Year, which John Lermayer once again has been nominated for! The list is full of legends, just to be included is already an honor in itself.
For Best American High Volume Cocktail Bar, another Miami nominee was chosen, and that was Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co. once again as well as Blackbird Ordinary (our 2016 Pineapple Award winner!). Grace under pressure is what we like to call it and that bar team makes it look like art. Again, another list of legendary bars, congrats to all the finalists.
For Best American Hotel Bar, the Regent Cocktail Club has been nominated! Always a great bar to enjoy some classic cocktails.
For Best American Restaurant Bar we have two Miami nominees! Beaker & Gray as well as 27 Restaurant & Bar have both been nominated!
For Best Bar Mentor in the Global Category is none other the Maestro Julio Cabrera who for years has been spreading his brand of Cantinero magic all over the world. Big congrats to Julio on a well deserved nomination.
And finally for World’s Best Spirits Selection, another nod to Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co.
