Gabe Orta, one of the talents behind the Broken Shaker and the Broken Shaker Chicago, has opened a bar in Colombia with Huerta Bar. Gabe, originally from Colombia, has decided to give back to his home country in a very special way. The cocktail bar has partnered with a local non-for-profit organization called Pan De Vida Cer. The organization specializes in giving a better life to some of the poorest families in Colombia.
Some of the children from these families will go on to work and learn in the hospitality industry and even work at Huerta Cocktail Bar, giving them a skill set they otherwise might not be able to get.

Contributions will be to offset the costs between nutritional meals, education, and teaching the students about the hospitality and bar industry.
Gabe also urges his fellow industry friends to come to Colombia and guest bartend.
