J. Wakefield is one of our favorite local beers and this collaboration is no joke!
New Belgium and J. Wakefield have collaborated on a special edition Grilled Pineapple Berliner Weisse! This is quintessential Miami! According to the German Beer Institute, the “Berliner Weisse is a sour, tart, fruity, highly effervescent, spritzy, and refreshing ale…” Add in Grilled Pineapple and a touch of Miami in J. Wakefield Brewing and you got yourself some magical liquid.
To celebrate the release of this special liquid there will be a release party the evening of Thursday, June 11th at 7PM at J. Wakefield Brewing with a meet and greet with New Belgium brewer Cody Reif and J. Wakefields own Jonathan Wakefield. There will then be a toast and a stop at The Butcher Shop where some delicious eats will be serves including sausages, pretzels, cheese, etc. The Grilled Pineapple Berliner Weisse will be on tap here as well. The party will then move to Wynwood Walls for a curated walk of the walls. Following the curated walk, the party will then make a last stop at Wood Tavern. Guests will also receive a limited silk-screened poster of the above image. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rise Up Gallery. The Rise Up Gallery is a non-for-profit organization which provides therapeutic art workshops to the community and exhibits local and emerging artists in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District.
