Our top spots for great cocktails on the biggest party day of the year, Thanksgiving Eve 2016 in Miami!

So we’re getting into the holiday season and it’s time to enjoy cocktails with friends and family!  But, where to?  Where can you have a good time and not give up on delicious, fresh cocktails?  We did the hard work for you, check out our list below!

Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co.

Why?  It’s the biggest party day of the year and this bar is fresh of winning the Best New American Bar award at the Tales of the Cocktail.  Cocktails are incredible, add in some incredible food and you don’t have to go anywhere else.  Expect great music, a beautiful crowd and of course shots of mezcal.  Ask for one of our favorites, the Velvet Sideswipe (Mezcal Vida, spiced agave, lemon, pineapple, Punt-e-mes, crushed ice)!

237-B 20th St.
Miami Beach, FL

Why? The newly opened Ricky’s, right next Bodega, is going to be a go-to this Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  The Menin Hospitality concept opened less than a month ago and is getting awesome reviews for their cocktails and bites.  An 80’s inspired sports bar, Ricky’s South Beach showcases a carnival-inspired menu and of course great cocktails, designed by one of favorite barmen, Josue Gonzalez.  Watch some sports or enjoy some retro arcade games while enjoying fresh cocktails.

Miami Beach, FL

Regent Cocktail Club

Why?  Fantastic classic cocktails brought to you by the delicious Casa Noble Tequila!  Is that not enough?  How about Brendan O’Hara and the Rescue performing to get the night started. With Brendan curating the music, you know you’re in for a treat.  We recommend, the Champagne Cocktail (Champagne, Angostura bitters, sugar, and garnished with a maraschino cherry), to kick off the celebration!

The Local Craft Food & Drink

What's the Difference Between Me & Vieux

Why?  An easy stop in Coral Gables with an impressive cocktail menu as well as awesome bar bites (read: jerky).  We reccomend the Caribbean Vieux (High West Double Rye, Afrohead Aged Rum, OF Aged Grappa, Cocchi di Torrino, Yellow Chartreuse, Disaronno Amaretto, Barrel Aged Aromatic Bitters, Fresh Citrus)!  A neighborhood bar atmosphere with a great crowd and cocktails.

150 Giralda Ave.
Coral Gables, FL

Blackbird Ordinary

Why?  We’re honestly shocked that this bar hasn’t won more awards.  Their staff always delivers, the bartenders are knowledgable and best of all, they know how to manage through the crowds.  No matter how crowded, cocktails come out well-made and prompt.  The cocktail menu is fun, creative and fresh.  Expect this place to be full of smiles, shots, beers and cocktails!

729 SW First Avenue
Miami, FL

Why?  Gramps bangs out great, consistent cocktails all the time!  Combine that with the 14th annual 80’s prom and you’re in for quite the adventure.  Come dressed to impressed with your favorite 80’s attire!  We recommend the Penicillin Cocktail!

Miami, FL

27 Restaurant

Why? On November 23rd, 2014, 27 Restaurant & Bar opened its doors at Freehand Miami.  They are celebrating their 2 year anniversary with their most loved past menu items and cocktails for one night!

This will be a sneak peak as the restaurant opens on November 28th!  Party starts at 10 PM with Brooklyn resident DJ Tillery James.  Expect $5 shots of Cazadores Tequila and $8 Cazadores Margaritas from 11pm-12am.  Chef will prepare light bites as well.
