This year Miami suffered the tragic loss of industry icon, John Lermayer, who was also the Founding Father of Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co.

Since then, the City of Miami Beach proclaimed a John Lermayer Day in his honor. He posthumously won a Helen David Lifetime Achievement Award from the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail and Sweet Liberty won World’s Best Spirits Selection and Best American Bar Team.
On October 3rd, during London Cocktail Week at The Roundhouse in Camden, London, the World’s 50 Best Bars celebrates their selection with an evening filled with the world’s best bartenders.
Over 500 judges from around the globe vote for the best bars in the world. Broken Shaker landed at a respective #60 in the world!
After the ten first bars were announced, the founder of Seedlip, Ben Branson , announced the Industry Icon Award given to John Lermayer. Laura Cullen, David Martinez and Dan Binkiewicz accepted the award on his behalf with some beautiful, moving words.
John Lermayer’s spirit shined once again with Sweet Liberty being chosen as the #21 Best Bar in the world. In 2017, Sweet Liberty landed at #27. What a big achievement for Miami and the wonderful team at Sweet Liberty. Cannot wait to celebrate with the team!
Other notes: Dead Rabbit landed at #16, while Dante in New York made the top 10 at #9. The Best Bar in North America went to the Nomad in New York City landing at #4. Our friends at Licoreria Limantour made the list at #11. The Best Bar in the World went to a new #1 from London, Dandelyan!
